The irony of ADHD is that you canโ€™t do anything because you want to do everything.

ADHD is having a major, life-changing revelation about something, and then just promptly forgetting about it.

If you have ADHD and you feel bad about yourself for dropping and picking up new projects, just remember that Leonardo Da Vinci spent 4 years painting the Mona Lisa, and then stopped working on it for 12 years before finally finishing it.

Friendly reminder that if you have ADHD and you're feeling incredibly overwhelmed and behind on work, trying to just "force" yourself to sit down and do it will absolutely not work. You will end up just sitting there doing nothing. Take the time to reduce the overwhelm first.

What accommodation do you wish you had the most? I have ADHD and desperately just wish it was okay to be like, "I've accidentally become too overwhelmed again and need a day off".

If you have ADHD and you have always relied on anxiety to get things done.... You're on the road to ADHD burnout. ADHD burnout means one day anxiety will stop working for you. as a motivational tool. You need to find healthy coping strategies before that happens.

If you have ADHD and you always rely on anxiety and deadlines to get things done, I have some bad news for you... One day those things will stop working for you. You need to find healthier coping strategies now, before that happens.

Why is it always โ€œPeople with ADHD canโ€™t stick to one thingโ€ But never โ€œPeople with ADHD are good at covering a large spectrum of different subjects very quickly and picking up on what will interest themโ€

I put off taking magnesium for literally YEARS after hearing over and over how it could be helpful for sleep, ADHD, anxiety, everything I was struggling with! Turns outโ€ฆ I didnโ€™t have magnesium deficiency and those things are all still present in my life.

ADHD is: "I need a shower, but I need to exercise so I won't take a shower yet, but I need to shower to feel motivated enough to exercise, but I need to exercise to get energy to shower, but I can't shower yet if I'm about to exercise..." Just picking a thing to do is so hard!

ADHD is spending your whole life perfecting an elaborate system that stops you from dropping balls, but then having one big life event happen and dropping ALL the balls at once.

The ADHD thing of deciding to organise a room and ending up trying to sort through all the random boxes of doom in your closet, and then at the end of the day being too exhausted to finish and now your room is just full of exploded doom boxes.

I used to never understand when people talked about being unable to sleep after having coffee, because I could always just fall asleep right away, and never really felt wired or even energised from it. Then I got diagnosed with ADHD.
