- The first-round of the NHL Draft has come to an end and not a single team congratulated the Florida Panthers on their Stanley Cup win. Can’t remember the last time that happened, usually multiple teams give a shoutout to the winner.

- Aaron Ekblad, first overall pick in 2014 hands the cup to Sam Reinhart, second overall pick in 2014, who hands off to Sam Bennett, fourth overall pick in 2014
- USA’s Dylan Larkin compared listening to the Tkachuk’s to the movie Slap Shot: “Listening to those two guys talk, it's like Slap Shot with the things they come up with. It’s beautiful stuff.”
- “You’re a Canuck, Filip”Filip Chytil says he was watching a Harry Potter movie when he found out about getting traded to the #Canucks.
- Stuart Skinner is a great quote. He said reading books has been a helpful tool. “Recently I’ve been reading Lord of the Rings and that has not helped me with how to stop the puck.”
- If the Americans game plan was “what if we just let the Tkachuk’s run wild” it was the correct call.
- The Panthers have sold out every game this postseason and are operating at above 100% capacity. They also have one of the biggest arenas in the league
