VFX'er, mographer, filmmaker, software'er. My tweets are my own. Unless they are re-tweets, in which case they are yours. I don’t respond to anonymous accounts.
A year ago I had never touched Unreal Engine. Then I took @SchoolOfMotion’s Unreal Engine for 3D Artists class with @JonathanWinbush. That started my Unreal Engine learning journey. 365 days later I’m making stuff like this.
When I look at this picture of Geoffrey Owens, the only things that come to my mind are courage, humility and dedication. Very few artists, especially actors, can fully support themselves in their craft. Taking honest, hard work to offset those dry periods is honorable.
This is genuinely one of the most useful tweets I’ve ever seen about professional 3D animation. If you have ever banged your head against a wall trying to keep a scene looking perfect while also getting the perfect shot, you now have Pixar-level permission to break things.
1. I fully agree. It felt forced.Marvel clumsily tried to deliver an emotional impact they’ve been too lazy to earn the hard way.
2. Whatever. My 10-year-old daughter doesn’t give a shit what any of us think. She was super excited to see a bunch of powerful women kick some ass.
STAR WARS: THE WOOD CUT - Animated Short
This is my homage to the films that changed the course of my life. With love to the talented artists at @ILMVFX@Lucasfilm@starwars
Made w/ @MaxonVFX C4D @redshift3d and @GSG3D Plus Materials and Lights. Color Graded with @RedGiantNews
OH MY GOD!!!! Cristopher Walken is no dummy and is totally irreplaceable, but for the purposes of this test of @WonderDynamics Wonder Studio, I've replaced him with a dummy. This took ~90 minutes to process, including Mocap, actor removal, and rendering.
Just sending some love to @gregorybrothers and @RandyRainbow who are probably going to be insanely busy musicing, compositing, and editing for several days following this debate.
Here's an example of something I made with @WonderDynamics. Filmed this at sunset yesterday and it took about an hour or so to automatically solve, roto and render and then I brought it into @AdobeVideo After Effects and color graded and added a flare with tools from @MaxonVFX.
