    Scenic VT 108 “The Notch” is now open for the 2022 season. Crews are opening the gates on either side of the mountain and Digital Message Signs are illuminated indicating the reopening. No Tractor Trailers on this section of VT-108 per 23 VSA § 1006b.

    We made it! To June 3rd. VT-108 (The Notch Rd) in Stowe/Cambridge is CLOSED at this time due to a stuck commercial vehicle. The closure will last at least one hour. Updates to follow.

    TRAFFIC ALERT: VT-108 (Smugglers Notch) between Cambridge and Stowe is now OPEN for the 2024 season. Vehicles over 40-ft and combination vehicles over 45-ft WILL NOT FIT.

    VT-108 Between Stowe and Cambridge “smugglers Notch” is CLOSED while crews work to remove a stuck Tractor Trailer. Drivers should expect delays in the area and seek an alternate route. An updated notice will be sent out when the roadway is clear.
