🎥 @cairosantos19 pre-snap process:
- Walk into target line (TL)
- Initiate feet @ spot

- Confirm TL: toe, ball, target
- Initiate 90° side steps
- Align body to spot
- Check TL again
- Draw line from target back to spot
- Nod @ holder when ready
💡Kickers w/
Dropping the kick-side shoulder at contact is a common issue w/ kickers. Tip 💡: In the FG stance, use the kick-side hand and grab hold of the waistband of their plant-side. This isolates the kick-shoulder in a neutral (natural) position, not allowing it to drop. 🗣 #ForTheBrand
🎥 Coach Lundy on why excessive (heel led) FG backswings lead to downswings prior to ball contact
💡A controlled backswing (use of glute) allows a downswing to occur on 1 plane
🏈 Swinging on 1 plane minimizes variables in a FG process, resulting in repeatable (foot on ball)
🎥 @cairosantos19 on entering field for a FG attempt
- Enter field from 20+ yds behind LOS
- Identify small 🎯 in the uprights
- Draw mental line to 🎯
- Feel line while approaching FG spot
💡The uprights get larger & target line is seen longer during a pre snap routine
