    If a single Jewish-Israeli child were pulled out from beneath a pile of rubble of what used to be her home & obliterated the rest of her family, not a single Western gov’t would not condemn it or try to blame “both sides”. Racism & colonialism explain this. They expect us to die.

    Ahmed Erekat, 27, beautiful young man. A son. A brother. Fiancée. My baby cousin. Israeli cowards shot him multiple times, left him to bleed for 1.5 hours and blamed him for his death. Tonight was his sister’s wedding, his was next month. We failed to protect him. I am so sorry.

    Israel does not have the right to self defense against territory that it occupies. It does not have the right to maintain an apartheid regime to protect Jewish supremacy. It does not have the right to commit genocide to expand its territorial takings & maintain racial purity.

    I’ve seen the silhouettes of so many people—so many children—burning alive, that I can’t look at fire anymore without feeling sick to my stomach. WE MUST STOP THIS MASSACRE. May the Palestinians forgive us.

    The US just issued its 3rd veto in 137 days of genocide to continue it. Against the will of 153 states which invoked Uniting for Peace twice. Against the extraordinary invocation of Art 99 by the UNSG. Against the ICJ ruling finding plausible genocide & a duty to prevent it

    If all that is being reported is accurate, we just witnessed Israel authorize an assassination attempt from with the UN- the very body, whose raison d’être is to avoid war, maintain peace &security. What a disgraceful mockery.And the thread unraveling what’s left of it is Israel.

    I am trying to pull on anger but I am grief stricken. My stomach turns when I try to speak. How do I explain that burning children alive in tents is bad? Who does not know that? What is this system we’ve built that has normalized advanced tech barbarism & dares to lecture us?

    So if Hamas disappears, Israel will lift the siege, end the occupation, & dismantle apartheid? Asking for 11 mil Palestinians contemplating yet another generous offer. As a “diplomat” you should know that genocide is not legitimate warfare. No conditions on its cessation #Gaza

    The suffering of Palestinians in Gaza is real. Why not call on Hamas to release all hostages and agree to have its leaders leave Gaza. They could save Palestinians from paying a further price. Real support for Palestinians should produce such a call. Isn’t it time for that?
