    The pilot of the downed F-15C Eagle from the 48th Fighter Wing has been located, and confirmed deceased. This is a tragic loss for the 48th Fighter Wing community, and our deepest condolences go out to the pilot's family and the 493rd Fighter Squadron.

    Yesterday, Lt Kenneth “Kage” Allen was returned to his family in the United States. To honor our fallen aviator, F-15E Strike Eagles from the 494th Fighter Squadron conducted a Missing Man formation, a time-honored tradition for our #LibertyWing Airman that is no longer with us.

    UPDATE: Search efforts by Her Majesty's Coastguard have located wreckage from the downed F-15C Eagle and recovery efforts are underway. The pilot is still missing, and search and rescue efforts continue.
