- hi, im the person who animated this. that price point is per cut not the full scene (cut meaning a shot when the subject of camera changes). that number was what i got paid to do layout and then was paid again to do genga. i was not responsible for in betweens, color, compositeThe animator who animated this scene got payed with 2.500 yen ($17USD) It took her 10 hours to make, which is not even 2$ per hour. There were also other separately priced tasks from other sources like in-betweens, colors, & composite. - i wonder if ppl realize that drawing fanart and writing fan fiction is pretty much what animation industry ppl do for a living. this is an /extreme/ simplification of what our jobs are but in essence it’s kind of what we do??
