Curated Collection

The Curated Collection

This is Wolf-Gordon’s Curated Collection: dozens of artworks and patterns created for us by a diverse group of accomplished artists, all available to be digitally printed on a variety of substrates. The Collection includes designs for every kind of interior, and the WG Customs lab can work with you to modify the size, scale, and coloring of any design in the library to meet the requirements of your project.

Princess Queen

Princess & Queen

This historically inspired toile composition was crafted by WG Design Studio to highlight three pieces by married basket sewers Angela and Darryl Stoneworth: Angela’s Princess Leia basket and Throne, and Darryl’s African Wedding Basket. These works are set in Lowcountry vignettes surrounded by Gullah Geechee Corridor nature—subtropical flora, palmettos, live oaks, Spanish moss, and shore birds.

Frontiers of the Land

Frontiers on the Land are Bodily Frontiers by Camila Apaez

This wallcovering explores the internal movements that may occur when one decides to cross a frontier, whether physical or subjective. The sculpture—created for our El Muro project—was made with clay, oxides, and local clay engobes (liquified clays) and photographed unfired to retain the original colors of the engobes.

Fauna

Fauna by Bradley L Bowers

Aerial photos of a handmade landscape were the basis for this design, which Bowers created through digital manipulation of perspective and planar geometry. Fauna challenges the need for uniformity in patterning while maintaining a balance of color and composition.

Pompeii

By Studioestudio

Pompeii is a new wallcovering collection conceptualized and designed by Studioestudio for Wolf-Gordon. These wallcoverings draw inspiration from the Black Paintings by Frank Stella, as well as from the intricate geometric mosaics of the ancient Roman city of Pompeii, bridging the gap between ancient artisans and modern-era art movements through rigorous experimentation and inspired artistic invention.

Nuanced shades and geometric shapes: these three designs introduce surprising contours, abstract mountainscapes, and a nontraditional play on a traditional plaid to be used for murals or repeated to fill an entire room.

Urban Nature

Photographs of cityscapes meld with images of nature. The hard edges of cityscapes and asphalt; the soft, dreamlike textures of a meadow of flowers: this collection finds harmony in contradiction.
