Electrical Panels with Known Issues
- Federal Pacific Electric (FPE) Stab-Lok Panels: These have a high failure rate and are notorious for not tripping when they should, increasing the risk of fire.
- Zinsco Panels: These panels often fail to trip in the event of a circuit overload or short circuit, and their design is prone to corrosion.
- Sylvania Panels: Essentially rebranded Zinsco panels, they share the same inherent safety issues.
