To help our families gear up for the start of the new school year, Whitfield County Schools has launched a Back to School Resources hub with everything you need to start the school year off strong.

Whitfield County School intends to apply for Educational Flexibility (Ed-Flex) for the 2025-2026 school year to waive the content area minimum percentage requirements in Title IV, Part A (Student Support & Academic Enrichment Grant).  Public notice is required when systems intend to apply for the Ed-Flex waiver.  Feedback and questions regarding this potential waiver are welcome.  Please direct all feedback or questions to the Director of Federal Programs, Scott Houston, at scott.houston@wcsga.net.  Thank you so much for your continued support of Whitfield County Schools.

Whitfield County Schools Superintendent Dr. Mike Ewton has been selected as one of 20 school leaders from across Georgia to join the inaugural Georgia Superintendents’ Workforce Leadership Academy, a collaboration between the University of Georgia Carl Vinson Institute of Government and Georgia Power.
