Based in the Pacific Northwest, Vinbound Marketing provides wineries with a full range of website development, photography, and digital marketing services to grow tasting room traffic and sell more wine direct-to-consumer.

Brian Richardson started Vinbound in 2014 to build websites for wineries he had befriended in Oregon’s Willamette Valley (Prior to starting Vinbound, Brian was Assistant Director of the International Pinot Noir Celebration). From day one, Brian has been the lead designer and developer of all Vinbound Marketing websites. He continues to be the first point of contact for new clients and leads overall strategy and vision for our partner wineries.

I truly love running Vinbound and getting to work with wineries both acclaimed and up-and-coming. Boosting Sales at Remarkable Wineries with WineryHunt

Vinbound Marketing launched our side business WineryHunt Oregon in 2017. This exclusive membership program incentivizes wine tasters to visit a curated selection of wine tasting rooms via limited-time benefits. Each year, we feature a select group of wineries and share their story with members via email, website, and social media. WineryHunt club members receive a monthly email and other digital marketing campaigns introducing the Featured Wineries and providing driving directions and other trip details for an upcoming visit.

The program has been a resounding success for both consumers and wineries. Members often say they never would have visited the wineries without WineryHunt’s guidance, and wineries report very strong turnout, sales, and club signups. The model has proven itself a success and expanded to Washington in 2019 and Sonoma in 2020.

Do you work with wineries outside of North America?

Yes! While the majority of our clients have been based in the United States and Canada, we are completely open to working with wineries throughout the world (and have done so already with wonderful wineries in New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and Europe).

What does Vinbound mean?

“Inbound marketing” is a marketing tactic which focuses on developing thorough, informative web content to organically attract viewers to your website and inspire action. Search engines reward this quality content by placing it higher in search results, and viewers reward quality content by becoming followers and customers. Vinbound is simply the extension of this marketing concept to the wine industry.

The double meaning of the word means to move towards wine or to be tied to wine (in the best sense possible).

It’s really the perfect name for our company and we have trademarked the crap out of it.

Do you work with businesses other than wineries?

We have been known to do work with beer and spirits companies, but in general our core competency is in the wine industry. Beyond wineries, we have worked with numerous AVAs and DMOs, as well as importers, vineyard management companies, tour guides, wine bars, single vineyards, and more.

Who is responsible for the work done on my behalf?

Vinbound’s Founder and Lead Developer Brian Richardson oversees all accounts and ensures all work provided by Vinbound meets and exceeds the standards of our winery clients.
