How ViewGates Collects & Verifies Data

The sources behind our company evaluations, and how we validate them

Every ViewGates evaluation is built from trustworthy, mostly publicly available sources. We cross-check key details before they inform any rating. This page explains where our data comes from and how we verify it. For how that data is turned into a score, see our Methodology.

Our Primary Data Sources

We draw from multiple independent source types so no single source determines a company’s standing:

  • Public disclosures and regulatory filings: Official records that reflect credibility and compliance.
  • Market intelligence and published reports: Independent insights into market positioning and performance.
  • Industry publications and trade portals: Coverage highlighting trends, growth, and sector analysis.
  • Certifications and third-party data: Recognised certifications and verified external data providers.
  • Company websites and documentation: Used as a reference source and always validated against independent evidence.

Aggregated External Sentiment

Alongside the sources above, we also consider publicly available user sentiment, gathered from independent external channels, as supporting context:

  • Verified user reviews and discussions from independent external sources, such as public review sites, community forums, and survey data.
  • Professional and industry feedback gathered from external channels, providing additional real-world context.

ViewGates does not host public user-submitted reviews. External sentiment is treated only as supporting context, is checked against independent evidence, and never overrides verified data or determines a company’s official rating.

How We Verify Data at ViewGates

We use a continuous verification process to maintain accuracy:

  • Key details are cross-checked across multiple independent sources before affecting ratings.
  • Company claims are not accepted at face value and are validated against external evidence.
  • Independent sources take priority when conflicting information exists, in line with our Editorial Policy and Methodology.
  • Outdated or inconsistent data is continuously reviewed and corrected.
  • Where evidence is insufficient, we explicitly note limitations instead of making assumptions.

This ensures ratings reflect verified, not speculative, information.

Updates & Accuracy

Rankings and company data are reviewed and updated periodically. While we cannot guarantee every detail is always current, errors and outdated information are corrected as quickly as possible once identified.

Reporting Inaccurate Information

If you believe any information is outdated or incorrect, you can report it through our correction process.

Please visit the Corrections & Feedback page to submit a detailed request for review.
