Communities we serve
We strive to provide equitable access to health services and improved health and wellness outcomes for 14 First Nation communities within the Vancouver Coastal Health region. We are always learning so our aim is to work collaboratively to address health challenges to move toward reconciliation. And we do this working in collaboration with community Elders, First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples, as well as First Nations Health Authority (FNHA).

Indigenous Cultural Safety Policy
VCH has an Indigenous Cultural Safety policy to guide us in becoming a culturally safe organization and inform health care provision. This policy applies to all health care staff, physicians, units and departments across VCH.
We are committed to improving the health and access to culturally safe health care for Indigenous People in the region, and we recognize that we all have a contribution to make in reconciliation and healing.
