Winner Experiences

Meet Gold Winner, Farhan Adam

“People shouldn’t underestimate the value of the awards, not only on a personal level but for your community, for the school, for parents, for the children. The teaching profession is very much an unsung hero profession, and I think it’s important that recognition is given because people deserve it. It unlocks the message we are trying to tell our children—that you can be the best you can be. The school has been recognised, and therefore you’ve been recognised, and therefore you can go on to do things that are amazing.”

Since becoming Headteacher in 2017, Farhan transformed progress and raised aspirations at his inner-city multicultural college. His values-led leadership redefined the school’s mission, introduced ‘tough love’ policies, and broadened pupil experiences.
