For over 56 years, we've been providing top-quality German sausages, bratwurst, and other gourmet meats to the Hermann, Missouri area. Our story begins in October of 1969, when Bill & Margie Sloan built and opened the Swiss Processing Plant, Inc. As demand for his beloved German sausages grew, Bill doubled the size of the operation just a few years later.
Fast forward to the late 90s, and the size of the plant was doubled again, with the addition of a warehouse, packaging room, additional cooler space, a sausage kitchen, and another smokehouse. The business was expanded yet again in 2006, when a much-needed larger retail space was built.
Throughout the years, we've had the honor of being featured on Food Network, being named the Official Bratwurst of Saint Charles Oktoberfest, and winning countless local and national awards.

In May of 2006, we were honored to host Jamie and Bobby Deen (sons of Paula Deen), along with their production crew, as they filmed an episode of “Road Tasted" for the Food Network. The episode featured some of our award‑winning sausages, like our best‑selling Mushroom & Swiss Bratwurst.

I visited 06-27-2023, at the direction of my Brother in Law. Your Blood Sausage was very good but I'm a Blutwurst fan anyway. The Scrapple was awesome, we had the cook the entire amount. Topped with grape jam and over easy eggs on Brioche toast, my son considered it a gourmet breakfast. Thank you for the great service and the excellent selection.
