I've been at AgAcademy since fourth grade, and I'm in sixth currently. I love it here because of the animals and plants. My favorite thing I've done at AgAcademy is working with the turtles or chickens. I take care of the chickens in the courtyard - wash out their coop every other day and give them food and water.

At Glendale, the teachers go above and beyond. They care about their students, and they are always open to talking about random topics or answering questions. There is a lot of encouragement and critique here that I value.

I came to Hillcrest in the fall of 1996 and never looked back. I've only ever taught at SPS. I've taught 29 years, and I have one more to go. I'm going to give these students, their families, this community, The Hill, everything I've got. They deserve it.

I wanted to get involved in the community and to help give back a little, and what better way than being involved in Springfield Public Schools, especially in my grandchildren's school. Some of the nicest people I have ever met work with our students at SPS.

I've had the same routes for six years, and I've really gotten to know the students and their families. Those relationships, they're special to me. The kids are important to me, and they're good kids. I want them to have a good day at school every day, and so I hope my smile and my positive attitude are contagious.
