This program offers World Association of Chef’s Societies (WACS) recognized culinary education certification. WACS is a World Chef’s body consisting of 10 million chefs and the Dilmah School of Tea is the first and only WACS certified Tea School.
Session 90 of the Dilmah School of Tea was a four-day milestone event, the largest one yet! 204 participants from 50 countries came together in Sri Lanka to explore the transformative power of tea; not just as a beverage, but for good health, sustainability and community impact. From cultivation to artisanal teamaking to tea mixology, the tea-inspired faculty shared their expertise to unveil the many dimensions of tea.
Artisans love nothing more than sharing the taste and goodness in their produce. It is no different for us as tea growers, making our teas with love and respect. The joy we all felt in welcoming our 77th Class of the Dilmah School of Tea is unprecedented. We celebrated tea, for its purity, its goodness, the luxurious indulgence in tea, and its magical harmony with fine food, how it elevates cheeses, highlighting flavour and texture while it aids digestion.
At the conclusion of this 77th session of the Dilmah School of Tea, we appreciate every one of our alumni and commit to taking the beautiful story of Taste, Goodness and Kindness in our teas to the next 77 sessions!
The Dilmah School of Tea took tea-inspiration to the next level in Budapest, Hungary. Hospitality professionals from across Europe gathered to learn about the versatility of tea directly from a family of tea growers. This unique experience guided participants to new understandings of tea as they learned the art of brewing the perfect cup of tea, intricacies of pairing food with tea and masterful tea mixology. Participants enjoyed tea around the clock while a new world of tea unfolded in front of their eyes.
