Spot Differences Between Projects

The Compare Projects feature lets you analyze differences between two versions of the same project displayed side-by-side.

  • Interactive Gantt charts that highlight schedule shifts, task changes, and dependency modifications.
  • Activity Table which shows detailed line-by-line breakdowns of changes to project parameters for specifically selected activities.
  • Bottom View supporting instant switch through analytical perspectives allowing you to compare changes with focus on Activities, WBS, Project Budget, or high level Project related metrics.

Only projects with the same Project ID can be compared

Get Centralized Overview of Changes in One Focused View

Track changes against baselines, saved snapshots, or updates over time.

  1. Open the XER file
  2. Go to File → Compare
  3. Click Import to load the baseline project and click on the Open button

The now available “Compare Activities” layout will display both project versions simultaneously with top-oriented bars for the current project and bottom-oriented bars for the imported baseline project, making task shifts immediately visible.

Users can apply filters to choose which activity parameters, like duration, name, and relationships should be highlighted or shown when differences are detected, modify the bars layout and colour on the Gantt chart, and insert additional columns with different parameters to the Activity Table.
