Our story is the classic one, when a few of us- strangers at the time, got talking in a cafe in the winter of 2021. We realised we were all really worried about climate issues,  and wanted to do something about it.

A few more meetings later, Saltdean Climate Action Network (SCAN) was born and rather cheekily we say Saltdean CAN! We're now an official charity, getting our charity status in 2024.

We welcome all residents of Saltdean to join us so we can collectively learn to live within our means and preserve this beautiful planet we call home for future generations. Click on the tabs above to find out what we're doing!
