E39

Ballast

• Since the bulbs are available in different colors, you need to look at Kelvin. The safe colors are 5000K, 4000K, and 3000K.

Replacing Metal Halide or High-Pressure Sodium

When you are replacing a 150-175 watt Metal Halide or High-Pressure Sodium bulb, you must use a 50-60 watt LED bulb. For replacing a 250-watt Metal Halide or High-Pressure Sodium light, you should get an 80-100 watt bulb with about 13,000 lumens. On the other hand, for replacing a 400-watt Metal Halide or High-Pressure Sodium bulb, you can use a bulb with 150 watt and 20,000 lumens. If you wish to replace a bigger bulb, you will need a fixture.
