RoPay is one of the most modern payment and collection methods, based on instant bank transfers between the payer and the beneficiary, It is designed for Banking Institutions and Payment Institutions which in turn make it available to end consumers: payers and beneficiaries (both individuals and legal entities). Developed by TRANSFOND and jointly administered together with the Romanian Banking Association the service is automatically available to individuals as an intrinsic functionality of the mobile banking applications of partner banks, of the partner banks.

CMerchants (legal entities in general) can contract the service from RoPay member banks or payment processors. Only banks and processors implement RoPay directly from TRANSFOND. Through RoPay, instant payments can be initiated:

QR code scan

Prin RoPay poți plăti instant după ce scanezi din aplicația de mobile banking un cod QR RoPay afișat: · de către un prieten pe telefonul său, · pe POS-ul de la supermarket, · de către un mic comerciant în piață, · de către un magazin online în pagina de plată când faci cumpărăturile pe desktop sau laptop.

deep-link

Plata instant RoPay prin deep link se realizează în momentul în care faci cumpărăturile online pe mobil. După ce selectezi ca modalitate de plată RoPay și alegi banca din care vrei să plătești, cu ajutorul deep link este identificată aplicația de mobile banking a băncii selectate, iar după autentificarea în aplicație îți este afișat ordinul de plată precompletat pe care îl autorizezi.

RoPay contactless payment (NFC) happens when the RoPay QR code displayed on a friend’s phone or on a store POS can be read by bringing your phone close to the device displaying the QR code (not just by scanning it with mobile banking).
