How to Turn on Two-step Verification in AOL Mail?
Follow the below steps to secure AOL account using two-step verification:
Sign in to your AOL account and go to your account security page.
Beside the "Two-step verification” option, click the Toggle button to turn it on.
Enter your mobile number where you want to receive the verification code.
Click Send SMS or Call me to get the verification code.
After getting the verification code, Enter it, then click the Verify button.
If you want to access AOL Mail in third-party apps, click on “Create app passwords” and continue otherwise click on the “Skip for now” button.
Select the app that you use from the drop-down menu.
Then click on the “Generate” button.
A new app password is generated and appears on your screen.
Copy the generated app password.
Then, Click on the done button.
Use this copied password along with your AOL mail_id while logging in to AOL mail on any third party app.
