Testimonials
Liveable architecture is where Reddog Architects excel. There was a genuine excitement and desire to achieve a positive project outcome which made working with the Reddog team a very enjoyable and stress free experience. We had a clear vision of what we wanted and Paul was quick to understand our brief and our key priorities. Throughout the design process, Paul enhanced our original ideas and concepts in ways we hadn’t considered. A true value add. The outcome smartly utilizes a borrowed landscape, contains functional and useable spaces and most importantly is a home. We would highly recommend Paul and the Reddog team and would entrust them with future projects.Jeremy and Sue, Winship Shed
‘We chose Reddog Architects for our Tower House Project as we had purchased a block of land that required a thoughtful design to make the most of the city views and block size. We had previously worked with Reddog and were keen to work with them again. We had a list of inclusions that we wanted for the home; which included capturing the city views, pool, yard space and a 4-bedroom home. We wanted a good design to allow for lots of natural light and air flow. The flow of the home is lovely, it feels open and airy but also private. The atrium style alfresco area is pretty impressive. ‘Ruth and Dan, The Tower House
‘The Garden Bunkie has transformed the use of our house and backyard. Our family has grown with the addition of two children and whilst we wished to remain in our heritage worker’s cottage we required additional space and flexibility too for grandparent visits, working-from-home and parental retreats. Reddog Architects delivered the perfect mix of style and multifunctionality with their design. The structure is an attractive addition to our garden and the sustainable reuse of timber and sensitive design around mature trees are much-appreciated outcomes. Best of all, Reddog enabled us to achieve all we wanted within a constrained budget.’Jake and Nadine, The Garden Bunkie
“Reddog Architects designed the extensive and transformative changes to our Chapel Hill house. Working with the Reddog team was an educational, collaborative and thoroughly enjoyable experience for myself and my wife, Jodi. As a design professional in a related field, I had my own preconceived ideas on what the changes to the house would be and what the project would involve, but the strength of Reddog’s well conceived concepts won the day. They very clearly communicated the design to us and sold us on the quality of their ideas - and we are so glad that they did. The 3D computer modelling that the practice used throughout the design process greatly assisted us in being able to visualise and understand the spaces that would be created prior to the commencement of construction. For non-architects especially this is a great help. We have now been living in our remodelled house for over a year and are still delighting in the spaces and opportunities it provides us for living and enjoying life as a family.”Brett and Jodie Mogg, Chapel Hill House
‘I have worked with Paul Worroll and the Reddog team on various projects over the last 5yrs and I can happily say they’ve been consistently excellent! Paul leads with a strong design culture and open-minded enthusiasm for each new challenge. Nothing is too difficult! Their work from concept development through detailed documentation and on-site delivery gives me confidence we’ll achieve the desired quality. The most significant of our recent projects has been Elston House at 850 Ann St, FV. The scope for this project included base building design as well as the fitouts for Elston Group Brisbane Office, Prime Media and Landis and Gyr. We are delighted with the outcome of all elements and recommend Reddog services without reservation.’Ric Hulme, Pod Developments
We at the AFL have had nothing but good experiences in engaging Reddog Architects to do design and project management work for us. Their work in designing spaces for use by the public are first-rate and are regarded within our industry as national best-practice. Reddog Architects have worked on a number of projects for the AFL including sports pavilions, conference and education facilities and public amenities. One recent project was a large regional sporting and community precinct in the Moreton Bay Region, which was completed in 2014, and is nationally recognised as a best practice facility for our needs. The staff take great care to understand the specific needs of each project that we undertake and they are great in translating that into concepts and then a finished product that works effortlessly. That is a particular challenge for our sport, as we have large crowds attending games and if facilities are poorly designed or delivered, shortcomings are quickly noticed. I would highly recommend Reddog Architects.Jacob Anson, AFL Burpengary
‘Also meant to say . . .first few days in the house, it’s great. Air flows through beautifully – lounge, master bed and kitchen/dining in particular but bedrooms 1 to 3 are also fine and cool and the air comes through very well. Kitchen/Dining/rear deck works great, kitchen layout is good, bathrooms good . . .very happy in general. We’re all loving it, you guys did a great job!’Mick and Melissa Anzolin
10 years ago I saw one of their designs in a magazine. Some kind of dream to be working with them for our house today. The design of JB House has given our young, active family a functional yet beautiful space to live in. We have benefitted greatly from the excellent passive solar qualities the design gives us, and appreciate how much more intune with our outside environment we are because of the glorious use of glass. The ordinary and everyday materials used such as concrete and steel means the house can play easily alongside our busy boys, not to mention creates a modern feel that makes this humble suburban house feel like a special home for us now, and in the future to come.Josh and Bec Hemelaar
We engaged Reddog Architects after being significantly flooded in the 2011 Brisbane floods. From the start they were fantastic to work with. We had a limited budget, design and construction time frame, but the team ensured us they would meet the deadline we were proposing by prioritising the project due to our circumstances… and they didn’t disappoint. They met us onsite within 24 hours where we discussed the brief. We had some ideas but ultimately left the entire design to Reddog to develop. They provided initial concept drawings and ideas very quickly which we loved and met the brief perfectly. From there they started refining the design and finalising the detail of the project. We were astounded how quickly they progressed. The team kept us involved every step of the way and were always accommodating with our ideas and requests. They also engaged all other services required to get the project through council due to the demolition control restrictions on our property. Reddog Architects offered recommendations and provided quotes for these services which made the process very easy and stress free. The Team, especially Graham, where very enthusiastic about the project the whole way through… it was as though it was his house. They were very thorough ensuring all aspects of the build were completed to the specified detail. That meant we didn’t need to have any awkward conversations with the builder. We have kept in constant contact with all the team at Reddog. And with our house winning commendations at a number awards, they were nice enough to invite us along at their expense… all great nights. I would definitely recommend Reddog Architects to anyone needing architectural services. They’re professionalism, competence and expertise made the entire process a rewarding and pleasurable experience. We would do it all again in a heartbeat.Nicholas Slabosz
Purchasing our home in Sunday Street was one of our best decisions. When deciding on renovating our home we were looking for a team to design an extension to complement what we already had, a warm and welcoming old QLD cottage. What we ended up with was truly a beautiful home both old and modern. The renovation had allowed us to enjoy the history and style of the old home with the usability of a modern and stylish extension. All areas flow together seamlessly an allow for a flexibly which was not there before due to the build of the older Cottage. In the main living area with large bifold and sliding doors, the breeze way opened up the space to its own cooling system taking advantage of the beautiful sea breezes. The roof top terrace allows you the opportunity to enjoy the gorgeous sunsets and city views. We certainly love living in our renovated home. Bruce and Kerri
The design fits beautifully into the natural environment and creates generous, flexible learning spaces that the students and teachers love.Kerryn, Cannon Hill Anglican College
As a family of 2 adults and 2 children we were beginning to outgrow the stage one works which Reddog designed as a result of the 2011 floods. We engaged Reddog Architects again to look at maximising external underutilised space and extending to ensure long term growth as a family. Reddog were fantastic as usual. They worked closely with us to develop a number of ideas and concepts until we landed on a design that catered for all requirements. Both my wife and I are very interested in architecture and design and Reddog allowed us the freedom to input into the design and material choices. The team worked tirelessly with builders to maximise our budget. In the current climate, it meant being very hands on and opting to do a lot of work us to save money. We needed to ensure money was spent on those key design ideas rather then things we were capable of doing ourselves. For example, we did a lot of tiling, landscaping, fencing, painting etc. The final design was something that we could not have envisioned. It has provided a massive change to our lifestyle and function and engagement as a family. We spend a lot more time outside entertaining, enjoying weekend fires and spending time together as a family. Internally, although the changes were not significant, the design has meant the functionality of the new and existing spaces work so much better with more dedicated areas for kitchen, dining, living and lounge. We are extremely happy with the final outcome. Everything we had hoped as a family has been made possible with the design Reddog Architects proposed and implemented. Nick and Amanda
The retention of an architect is such a personal decision. We were fortunate that we got Reddog on the project to assist in deciphering our ideas and thoughts around how we pictured our newly acquired Woolstore apartment once renovated. Paul was able to interpret our vision, challenge our ideas and pull the jigsaw together through great processes and client involvement. By understanding and respecting all heritage components, listening to how we envisaged living in the space Paul and his team contemporised these spaces by introducing innovative design elements and beautiful finishes. Reddog has been instrumental in assisting us create a wonderful woolstore apartment for the 2020s and beyond. We could not be happier with the outcome and the support Paul and his team provided from concept, through detail design and builder procurement, contract administration and supervision. If we were ever to renovate again I could not imagine doing it without Paul and the Reddog team. Mike and Nikki
The house is absolutely beautiful, and it's exactly what we wanted. From the very beginning, Reddog collaborated with us and listened. They asked the right questions and moved at the right speed through the process, not too fast, not too slow. They consulted with us on decisions, and when we left it with them to make the right choice, they did so. After living in the house for a month - people ask me if there's anything I've seen so far that I regret, or would change... there is nothing. Rebecca and Dan
