WE SUPPORT COMMUNITIES TRANSITIONING FROM TRADITIONAL RESOURCE-BASED TO A RESILIENT CIRCULAR ECONOMY.
The Circular Economy Hub Project will drive the development of three tailored hubs in qathet, Cowichan Valley, and Alberni-Clayoquot Regional Districts to create and retain jobs by turning waste from the construction, renovation, and demolition sector into new economic opportunities.
OUR GOALS

This project marks an exciting step forward in building a more sustainable and resilient local economy. By exploring new opportunities for reuse, innovation, and job creation from construction and demolition waste materials we’re not only reducing landfill pressure - we’re investing in our community.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
The Circular Economy Hub Project will drive the development of three tailored hubs in qathet, Cowichan Valley, and Alberni-Clayoquot Regional Districts.
To make sure each hub reflects local and strategic priorities and creates real impact, we’re engaging with construction, demolition, and manufacturing businesses, organizations, and community members to identify key focus areas and opportunities to drive economic growth, diversification, and long-term resilience in each region.
Update: Community Workshops & Validation Sessions completed.

More in-person material matchmaking sessions are ongoing. Please see our Events page for more details.
