In a world full of AI-generated slop, we’re building platforms and human-centered tools that support kids and storytellers in developing their creative muscles. Psychologist Dr. Albert Bandura’s research described four sources that determine a person’s beliefs about their own creative agency: a) small wins or accomplishments, b) vicarious experiences or representation, c) tips or persuasion, and d) well-being.
Through our work, we create enriching experiences that touch on all of the sources of building creative agency and ensuring that we meet gaps in creative-confidence. We think of storytelling as a bridge to build empathy, nuance, critical thinking, and joy for all of us. Research shows that intergenerational storytelling is an existential resource like clean air or water. Messy, failed attempts are normal. Lasting creative confidence works with an inherent assumption of worthiness. All of us are creative, because we’re human!
Many people do not see themselves reflected in traditional and documented literature. We spotlight lesser known stories from South Asia allowing all of us to understand one another, and share the joy!
