I'm William C. Tracy, and I write science fantasy with an eye on cool physics and magic (which are really the same thing, after all), lots of queer content, and maybe even some martial arts mixed in. I came out as bisexual/pansexual in 2019, and I love the community I've found!
I was a mechanical engineer at a day job until August 2021, but left to start my own small press, Space Wizard Science Fantasy, to help uplift marginalized voices.
I enjoy language and communication just as much as equations and math, and use both in my day-to-day life. I've got too many ideas for books that I want to put out for the world, and I would much rather be generating art and content for the world rather than stuck in a desk job. Space Wizard Science Fantasy is my new publishing house. It focuses on telling queer science fiction and fantasy stories and uplifting marginalized people. I've run four successful crowdfunding campaigns: Year 1 in 2022 that raised $18,000 to help publish twelve books, Year 2 in June 2023 that raised another $18,000 for another twelve books, Year 3 in June 2024 that raised $17,000 for thirteen books and two TTRPGs, and a bonus campaign in September 2024 for a new Lesbians in Space anthology that raised over $10,000.
