Frequently Asked Questions

What is Concierge Care?

Concierge care means personalized, relationship-based spine care with direct access to your treatment team.

We believe that when it comes to your spine, you should be actively involved in the decision-making process.

Our model provides easier access to our team, assistance gathering medical records from your primary provider, and streamlined paperwork to save you time.

Appointments are scheduled with adequate time to thoroughly review imaging, perform a comprehensive physical exam, and develop a personalized care plan tailored to your goals.

Patients undergoing surgery receive access to our Executive package for enhanced support throughout their surgical journey.

How can The Orchard Clinic ensure same or next-day appointments?

Before founding The Orchard Clinic, our team regularly saw more than 40 spine patients per day in a high-volume practice. Appointments were limited to just 10 minutes — often not enough time to fully understand a patient’s condition, review imaging carefully, perform a thorough physical exam, and develop a thoughtful treatment plan.

We built The Orchard Clinic differently.

By intentionally limiting the number of patients we see each day, we ensure that every patient receives the time, attention, and access they deserve. This structure allows us to offer same- or next-day appointments whenever possible and to remain responsive if new concerns arise.

Both patients and physicians benefit from this model. You’ll have the time needed to build a meaningful relationship with your care team — and you won’t be left waiting weeks for answers or follow-up when something feels urgent.

Do you accept insurance?

Our care model allows us to see patients whether they have insurance or are paying out of pocket.

If you need surgery, we will work with your insurance company so that hospital fees, anesthesia, and other required services can be billed to your plan based on your benefits. Dr. York’s fee is dependent on your health benefits.

In-office procedures are paid directly to our office. We do not accept insurance for in-office procedures and these services are not billed to insurance. In some cases, you may be able to submit the receipt to your insurance company to apply toward your out-of-network benefits, depending on your plan.

We have officially opted out of Medicare, including traditional Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and supplemental plans. This means we cannot submit claims to Medicare for physician services. If you have Medicare and need surgery, Dr. York’s surgical fee will be handled as a discounted self-pay rate. The hospital will still bill Medicare for hospital-related services.
