Program Description
This boot camp is an immersive, practice-driven experience designed for experts who want to stay ahead of the curve. This boot camp bridges high-level understanding with hands-on application, giving attendees the skills to work faster, think deeper, and deliver strong results faster across every engagement.
The curriculum spans a wide range of high-impact topics: AI-driven report review, trial and mediation preparation, financial model automation, modern practice management techniques, and much more. Each segment blends expert instruction with real-world demonstrations, giving attendees a clear understanding of not only what AI can do, but how to apply it directly to ongoing engagements.

Foundational Prerequisites
This is an intermediate-level course. Attendees should have:
- A solid understanding of valuation and forensic fundamentals, including: accounting, finance, report writing, and analytical workflows
- Working proficiency with Excel, Word, Adobe, and general computer operations
- Familiarity with AI concepts and basic prompt writing
- Experience using at least one paid AI platform a few times previously
It is recommended that participants review NACVA’s AI Advisory Brief before attending, including guidance on:
- Confidentiality
- Data handling
- Professional ethics
- Appropriate use of AI systems

Mandatory Requirements Before the Course
This boot camp includes hands-on exercises. To participate effectively, the following requirements must be completed before the course begins. Attendees must:
- Review the system setup instructions provided before the course
- Complete the instructional video and readiness checklist provided three weeks prior to the course (deadline: Thursday before course week)
- Attend a short readiness webinar on the Friday prior to the course week to confirm system setup and ask questions
- Have a Microsoft 365 Copilot Organizational license installed and fully updated
AI Platform Requirement
Attendees must have access to the following:
- Mandatory: Microsoft Copilot (paid subscription)
- Optional: ChatGPT or Gemini (paid versions recommended)
Technology Requirements
Attendees must bring:
- A laptop capable of running Microsoft 365 and browser-based AI tools
- The latest version of Microsoft 365 installed and updated
- An updated browser (Chrome, Edge, or equivalent)
Additional requirements:
- The device must connect to Wi-Fi without corporate restrictions
- If using a company laptop with security limitations, a personal laptop is recommended
- Confirm login access for:
- Microsoft account (for Copilot)
- ChatGPT (optional)
- Gemini/Google account (optional)
Optional Materials to Bring
Attendees may bring the following for exercises:
- A redacted valuation report or forensic report
- An Excel model that can be used to test automation
These materials are optional but helpful for practical application during the course.
Important Note
This boot camp moves quickly and assumes all technology is properly configured before the session begins. Class time cannot be used to troubleshoot:
- Software installation issues
- Subscription problems
- Version conflicts
- Corporate IT restrictions
Proper preparation ensures a productive learning experience for all attendees. For virtual sessions, participants will be asked to keep their cameras on to support interaction and engagement.
