You can run MultiCharts on a Mac using Windows virtualization software like Parallels or VMware as MultiCharts is a Windows application.

Here is how to do that.

MultiCharts is a desktop application, there is no mobile version.
MultiCharts can be installed on multiple computers, but you can use the license only on one account at a time. To log in your license on another computer, it'll be required to log out on the first machine.
MultiCharts is a trading platform with a wide range of supported brokers and data feeds. Here you can see the full list of supported brokers and data feeds. Security types supported by different vendors are listed in this table.

You can use the Configuration Wizard to quickly establish your data feed and broker connections and automatically load most popular symbols and pre-built sample workspaces.

For more detailed info about each broker, please refer to this guide.

Yes, you can use algorithmic trading. To start auto trading in MultiCharts, simply create a chart for the necessary symbol, add the signals to the chart, set strategy properties and click the SA/AA button.

To learn more, see Getting Started with AutoTrading.

To download data, simply plot a chart for a desired instrument. Once the historical data is downloaded from the data feed server and plotted on the chart - it is stored in the cache. When you close MultiCharts the cached data is compressed and saved to the local database.

Here is the detailed guide about data saving in MultiCharts.

Here are some resources/guides that'll help you to learn PowerLanguage coding.

EasyLanguage manuals will be also useful as EasyLanguage and PowerLanguage have the highest compatibility in the industry (Object-Oriented EasyLanguage (OOEL) is not supported in MultiCharts).

If you’d like to connect brokers or data feeds that are not currently supported, we have two APIs, one is the Data Feed API and the other is the Broker API. API is not included in the MultiCharts license and is purchased separately. Send a request to [email protected] for more details.
