Spanning Louise Nevelson’s career from 1929 – 1985, the exhibition traces the groundbreaking artist’s formative years to her emergence as a sculptor of international renown.

Aminah Robinson: Journeys Home

Drawing upon Robinson’s historical research, folklore, and personal narrative, the exhibition presents a visual memoir of the artist’s life and a compelling tableau of the African American experience.

Handle with Care

Handle with Care is a new interactive exhibition exploring all the potential of what we take for granted. In this exhibition, artists Calder Kamin (Austin, TX) and Jacob Reptile (New Orleans, LA) transform trash into soft and complex sculptures to create a new kind of environment.

Our Permanent Collection

Timeless Creations in Every Medium

Mobile Museum of Art’s permanent collection consists of an assemblage of American, European, African, and Asian art, including paintings, sculptures, prints, drawings, and decorative art. Highlights include: 19th-century American landscapes, realist paintings from the WPA era, contemporary international studio glass, turned wood, and ceramics.
