The Camp is situated on the banks of the Mandrare River, nestled under the shade of Tamarind Trees. The River is the lifeblood of the region and sustains the close by Antandroy village of Ifotaka and its sacred ancestral forests. The Spiny Forests found around the camp are unique to the Southern region of Madagascar and forms an important part of this region’s ecosystem and the wildlife adapted to this environment.
Namoroka National Park, a captivating natural wonder in northwestern Madagascar, showcases razor-sharp limestone formations called Tsingy. The park offers an awe-inspiring landscape, with narrow canyons, vertical spires, lush forests and unique flora.
