ABOUT MACUMBA
Founded in 1991 by Catherine Giraud, Macumba is the first interior decoration store in Mauritius, offering more than 3000 products of furniture, decorative objects and a selection of garments and accessories, including linen rugs, table and cushion covers from all around the world.
Macumba’s story did not begin with decorative products but with clothes imported from Indonesia and put on sale within hotels. Soon after, the first decorative items were imported and sold at Catherine Giraud’s place in Grand-Baie, until the opening of the first shop in Grand-Baie in 1992.
Today Macumba has 4 retail shops around the island : the main showroom at Chemin 20 pieds – Grand Bay ; another one in Sunset Boulevard Grand-Bay ; the third one in Ruisseau Creole Black River and the fourth one at So Flo Mall – Floreal.
