  • Optimized log parsing routines for reference and confirmations.
  • [NEW] Added automatic multicast support on incoming, outgoing and proxy (in/out or both) UDP connections, based on source and target IP’s range. Outbound UDP automatically detects multicast from the target IP (eg. 224.0.0.1).
  • [NEW] Added award reporting function to handle some very specific award calculations and statistics.
  • [NEW] Added Association / myassociation filters on AWARDS reporting (Award Filters / Contact Data tab)
  • [NEW] Award statistics now have a “grand total” column that sum up all values per bands, useful for checking DXCC CHALLENGE scores and similar.
  • [NEW] When a user enters a callsign in the new QSO call sign field for lookup, if the frequency of the radio is then changed by a pre-defined amount, the QSO entry field is cleared, and the cursor is placed in the field ready for next data entry. Default disabled, enable in SETTINGS -> USER OPTIONS.

Release note – Version 2.38.0.0

  • [NEW] VOACAP map parameters can now be overridden directly from VOACAP area. Other calculations still keeps program settings parameters.
  • [NEW] Added multiple targets ADIF upload capabilities
  • [NEW] Added RESTORE CONFIGURATION option in HELP menu, useful to automatically load previously saved program configurations from backup.
  • [NEW] VOACAP calculations on cluster are now calculated “per mode”, in order to provide a more correct reliability related to emission mode (PHONE, CW, DIGITAL, FTxx). This calculation is a little bit more expensive in terms of resources and can be disabled from SETTINGS / VOACAP menu.

  • Program log refactoring. Now CAT and UDP data are stored into different log files for better clarity. UDP detailed log is always active, CAT detailed log is user-enabled
  • Small optimizations on logging function
  • On main UI the Help menu has been “splitted” in 2: Help and Support menu are now available
  • Sunrise and Sunset are now using “civil” angle parameter (96°) rather than astronomical (108°) and has been made parametric for future usages.

  • Some code optimizations and performance improvements on VOACAP area
  • [FIX] Alert DXCC lists not correctly initialized when opening alert editor.

  • [NEW] 2 new maps available in program configuration / Map Settings
  • [NEW] Added new filter in ALERTS, valid for “callsign related” alerts that is able to alert you if a callsign has not been worked THIS YEAR. Useful for callsign based awards that “reset status” yearly.
  • [NEW] Added new UDP output message that produce the existing N1MM/QARTest outbound Contact message
  • [NEW] Grid on massive QSO update now retains selections between multiple updates
  • [NEW] Added sun and moon position to maps
  • [NEW] Program settings – Now you can enable/disable the active club in the list by clicking on their label

Release note – Version 2.36.1.0

As some of our users seem very concerned about this change, even though the change won’t have any real effect on normal usage, we have made the optimization of the mode list totally optional and it is disabled by default.

To turn this feature on see the Program settings tab in the Program Config in the latest release.

  • Added a user option in Program Config/Program settings to enable/disable optimized mode list (disabled by default)
  • CAT control available bands is now following user preferences (preferred bands)
  • Added small popup on AWARD selection that shows the full award name.
  • [FIX] Fixed issue on mode combo

Release note – Version 2.36.0.0

  • [NEW] NET Control is now able to edit some basic data of the currently selected active QSO (RST sent, received and comment)
  • Log4OM QSO’s are saved as USB/LSB, however quiet often other programs mark them as “SSB”. This creates additional logic/coding in our software to “match” USB/LSB to SSB when the incoming QSO from external programs or imported ADIF files has SSB as the mode instead of USB/LSB. For this reason, SSB is no longer listed in our mode lists. Existing QSO’s marked SSB remain unchanged but new QSO’s should only be identified as USB or LSB. These changes ONLY apply to the mode list menu’s for NEW QSO’s, editing OLD QSO’s still provides SSB as a selection.
  • LazyLog functions refined and HELP updated
  • New prosigns added to SERIAL CLUSTER interface
  • Award override now supports wildcard strings
  • Revised telnet cluster keep alive logic
  • Increased cloudlog ID maximum value
  • [FIX] Fixed issue on CW trainer that won’t correctly parse last chars of the string
  • [FIX] Fixed issue that prevented cluster reconnection under some circumstances

Release note – Version 2.35.1.0

  • [FIX] Fixed issue with SFTP page upload always used instead of FTP after first config save.
If affected, please fix performing a simple config save.
  • [FIX] Fixed issue with LOTW data download that are not correctly parsing formally incorrect QSO mode “DATA” and “SSB”

Release note – Version 2.35.0.0

  • [NEW] Added SUBMITTED and GRANTED search capability on all QSO grids for specific award code
  • [NEW] Added support for SDC Skimmer spots
  • [NEW] Added capability to download LOTW QSL data when user has multiple logbook DXCC Award accounts.
  • [NEW] LOTW digital confirmations and paper QSL can be independently downloaded (digital, paper or both) and not only ALWAYS DIGITAL + optional QSL confirmations.
  • [NEW] Added support for external club membership lists (settings – user preferences). Check user manual!
  • [NEW] Added new “security settings” menu in program configuration. This will allow Log4OM to work with external sources that doesn’t comply with latest TLS 1.2 security encryption protocol (by selecting other specific security protocols allowed) and eventually working with services that exposes expired or wrong web certificates. This may solve some integration troubles and errors reported in the log at the cost of a slightly increased risk during access to those external sources. Basically some club membership lists are hosted on a webserver with an expired cert and won’t be updated with default settings. Always check the application log if something seems not updated correctly!
  • [NEW] Added support to SFTP on webpage upload
  • [NEW] Added option in cluster alert to skip alert for WORKED callsigns (works for same call worked in the same band/emission type/mode of the current spot)
  • [NEW] Added new “Perform DB maintenance” menu under “Settings -> Maintenance” that will make a reorganization of the main database (SQLITE ONLY), award database and external data database, reducing size when possible and reorganizing data for better performances on HIGHLY fragmented databases (do not use too often).
  • Updated code for IOTA automatic data download, as changed by IOTA program.
  • Revised code that handle image view in external window
  • [FIX] Fixed an issue on alerts when multiple confirmation methods were selected in “not worked” alert
  • [FIX] Fixed an issue that prevented export of RECEIVED data for some awards when working with “standard ADIF” without Log4OM specific fields

Release note – Version 2.34

  • [NEW] Added native MariaDB support
  • [NEW] Improved EDIT QSO screen. Now it’s possible to attach QSL images and other pictures (other than eQSL) to the QSO and view them (images only)
  • [NEW] Added new option in KEYER ENGINE to allow ESC button to clear callsign too when aborting TX. New default behaviour is NO (unchecked). Check program settings.
  • [NEW] Configuration file is now saved also in documents folder. That will help with users that have troubles with windows that prevents writing on the ROAMING folder. Configuration will be searched in the user folder, then in the backup folder and, if both fails, in the document folders (if at least one config was saved).
  • Map drag is now possible using LEFT mouse button instead of RIGHT one.
  • Removed dependancies to EPPLUS commercial package used as nonCommercial (Excel export) and moved to a LGPL package.
  • [FIX] Fixed Antenna bearing and elevation not preserved when locked. Removed some unused locks
  • [FIX] Fixed some random issues on user interface
  • [FIX] Alert notification issue on not confirmed band/mode/both. Added a new notification threshold (-1, notify all spots that matches)
