As a recognized company in the footwear industry in France
And with our international development ongoing, we are committed to offering our customers high-quality products while embracing a responsible approach, both socially and environmentally.
While these values have always been central to JONAK, today more than ever, we are aware of the importance of passing them on to our partners and clients.
Established in France since 1964, we have been distributing our own collections since the 1990s—a milestone that marked the start of a more creative journey and stronger commitments.
To go even further, the majority of our factories:
o Use recycled cardboard or cardboard sourced from sustainably managed forests.
o Optimize their production lines to avoid excessive energy consumption.
o Collect, sort, and recycle their industrial waste.
o Install photovoltaic panels, source electricity from renewable energy, or use low-energy consumption machinery.
Beyond our operations, we support associations through annual donations and partnerships around societal causes close to our hearts. Since our foundation, JONAK has backed initiatives for equality, education, health, the environment, and the arts.
Each year, JONAK donates 1% of its revenue through financial or in-kind donations to organizations such as:
Cravate Solidaire: A nonprofit fighting hiring discrimination, offering job candidates in precarious situations clothing and coaching for interviews.
Secours Populaire Français: A public-interest organization fighting injustice and poverty in France and abroad.
Fondation One O One for Critical Care: Supporting personalized intensive care through training, research, and patient/family support programs.
A Living Story
At JONAK, art is not just a source of inspiration — it’s an ongoing dialogue. For years, we’ve been building close relationships with artists and artisans, firmly believing that creativity in all its forms deserves to be seen, supported, and celebrated.
In 2018 and 2019, we offered Laura Gulshani and then Léa Augereau a space for expression through artist residencies curated by us. In 2021, while museums remained closed, we launched the project « La Culture fait le mur » — an open air exhibition across the streets of Paris, Lyon, and Bordeaux, bringing a poetic touch back to the urban landscape.
In 2022, with the « JONAK Summer Factory », we handed over our image to artists from diverse backgrounds, allowing them to reimagine and reinterpret the brand through their own creative lens.
Today, this commitment continues with the same passion: our storefronts come alive through collaborations with talents like Atelier Paolo and Anaïs Vindel, blending artisanal craftsmanship with artistic sensitivity. And in 2024, to celebrate our 60th anniversary, we gave full creative freedom to Thomas Lélu, a multidisciplinary artist known for his sharp wit — resulting in a joyful and thought-provoking collaboration.
We support all these projects financially, of course — but more importantly, we offer visibility and space for expression: in our stores, our offices, and obeyound our walls. Because art is alive. It’s meant to move, to circulate, to surprise, and to stir emotion.
