The Indoor Air conference series stands as the world's leading scientific platform for advancing knowledge and solutions in indoor air quality and climate. Since its inception in Copenhagen in 1978, this prestigious series has brought together the brightest minds in science, engineering, and public health to address one of our time's most pressing challenges: how we create healthier indoor environments where people spend over 90% of their lives.
The Healthy Buildings (HB) Conference Series provides a forum that bridges science to practice, highlighting the practical implications of new research/science being reported. The regional aspects of the HB events were intended to create more localized visibility for ISIAQ, specific to issues that may be of more interest or urgency within the geographical location.

As the world faces converging challenges of climate change, public health disparities, aging infrastructure, and rising construction costs, Healthy Buildings 2027 America will focus on solutions that are intelligent, inclusive, cost-effective, and future-ready. Hosted in Syracuse, New York—a region at the intersection of innovation, urban reinvention, and environmental stewardship—this international conference will explore how we can create intelligent environments that promote human health, sustainability, affordability, durability, and climate resilience.
The theme for Healthy Buildings 2027 America, “Intelligent Environments: Designing, Retrofitting and Operating for a Healthy, Affordable and Resilient Future”, invites global researchers, designers, engineers, and policymakers to share insights on both cutting-edge new buildings and transformative retrofitting of existing spaces. The conference will highlight scalable, effective and efficient technologies, collaborative community-driven design methods and practices, and policy pathways to healthier indoor environments across all building types and communities.
Healthy Buildings 2027 America will take place on June 20-23, 2027, at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown in Syracuse, New York, USA. The conference is hosted by the Syracuse Center of Excellence in Environmental and Energy Systems (SyracuseCoE).

Whereas, the Healthy Buildings (HB) Conference Series complements this by connecting research with real-world application, emphasizing practical solutions while addressing region-specific priorities and increasing local engagement.
Letters of Interest are periodically invited for conferences planned in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas, and each submission undergoes a review process. The leadership team must include a member of ISIAQ.
