We work closely with investors to provide guidance, frameworks, tools and support, and help them to respond to challenges and integrate management of climate-related risks and opportunities into their investment processes.
Through our leading work, we help investors to navigate implementation of climate considerations in their individual portfolios, advocate for a more supportive policy environment, and provide them with the tools to undertake effective stewardship and engagement with companies, and the wider market.
We have developed the following flagship framework and tools to support our members:
We have played a leading role in the development of this pivotal framework. It is the most widely used guide by investors to set targets and produce related net zero strategies and transition plans.
Our support in helping investors make progress against their net zero goals incorporates every part of IIGCC – from policy advocacy to corporate engagement and more.
We published an accompanying Implementation guide, which brings together the various components of NZIF’s recommended objective and target setting process in a structured manner, outlining clear and simple steps that asset owners and asset managers drawing on NZIF may wish to consider.
Building on previous work undertaken with our members on this topic, the Climate Resilience Investment Framework supports investors seeking to develop individual climate resilience goals and implementation strategies.
Specifically designed in complement to NZIF, adopting the same broad structure and largely the same guiding principles, it provides a summary of what could be considered relevant action points within an investor adaptation and resilience plan.
Building on the first iteration, PCRAM 2.0 outlines refreshed guidelines for integrating physical climate risks in real estate and infrastructure investment appraisal. It helps investors, asset managers, and developers make better decisions by factoring in physical climate risks and looking beyond risk, it can support investors to identify resilience investment opportunities according to financial materiality.
Released in December 2025, PCRAM 2.0 includes four new case studies and is cross-compatible with IIGCC’s CRIF.
This toolkit provides investors with a foundational process to enhance their individual stewardship practices in line with the goals of the Paris Agreement. It aims to provide a core process aligned with NZIF’s recommended targets and stewardship actions to help investors implement their individual net zero commitments. IIGCC will publish an updated version of the toolkit in 2026.
IIGCC’s Engage Series provides our members with a suite of resources to support effective investor stewardship and meaningful engagement across key themes and sectors that are of critical importance to the net zero transition. The series aims to help investors navigate complex, sector-specific issues by equipping them with practical resources covering the most critical issues
This sets out key principles for policymakers to help them develop sectoral pathways and supporting policy frameworks to support decarbonisation targets, informed by investors. A ley recommendation from our paper on Making NDCs investor was the development of sectoral pathways and supporting policy frameworks. This paper builds on that recommendation and suggests that the development of sector decarbonisation roadmaps by policymakers could be an effective way to achieve this.
Alongside our frameworks and tools, we have developed a number of resources to support investors with their individual climate journeys. These resources align with our programmatic work and dive deeper into our strategic priorities.
