About IDSA Fellows
Nominations for IDSA’s Academy of Fellows are open exclusively to IDSA members who have demonstrated sustained excellence and leadership in industrial design. Fellows are recognized for their professional accomplishments, contributions to the advancement of the profession, and service to the design community.

Nominators may invite nominees to collaborate on the application and contribute directly.
Eligibility and Additional Information
Eligibility requirements for Fellows nominations
- Must be an IDSA Member
- Must have a minimum of 10 years experience
The following information is required for a complete Fellows nomination
- Education and Career Information
Provide an overview of the nominee’s professional background, including the length of their career and all academic degrees earned. - IDSA Service
Provide brief descriptions responding to the questions related to the nominee’s service to IDSA. - Impact to IDSA
Provide brief descriptions outlining the nominee’s impact on IDSA and its mission. - Impact to the Profession
Provide concise responses that describe the nominee’s contributions and impact on the profession. - Letters of Recommendation
A total of six (6) letters of recommendation from the nominee’s peers or professional colleagues. Each letter must include the recommender’s full contact information and signature.
Collaborating with a nominee
New this year, nominators may now invite the nominee to collaborate on the application. As the nominator, you will serve as the primary collaborator and are responsible for submitting the final application. The collaborator you invite will have full access to the form and may add details or make revisions as needed.
