Around the year 2000, our founder Christiaan, was working as an investor in asset‑backed securities. During one transaction, he ran into a major challenge: Information asymmetry. When he asked for details about the mortgages underlying an ABS, he was handed twelve boxes of paper files and told to explore them himself.
That experience revealed a deep industry flaw: the data existed, but it wasn’t accessible, structured, or trustworthy. Determined to fix that, Christiaan set out on a mission that became the foundation of our company.
