Craft Lake City is celebrating the versatile art of hand lettering alongside the international lettering community at The Fifth Annual Craft Lake City LetterWest in the Midvale Main Arts and Culture District in Midvale, Utah. This world-class lettering conference promises renowned lettering icons, top-of-the-line lettering workshops, engaging panels and even more fun creative activities. 

• The Fifth Annual Craft Lake City LetterWest is North America’s premier in-person hand-lettering conference hosted by both local and national lettering artists and featuring a wide array of hands-on lettering workshops all weekend. The event will be held over the course of two days on the second weekend of April, Fri., April 10 and Sat., April 11 and the Midvale Main Arts and Culture District in partnership with Midvale City. Activities will include: lettering workshops, keynote presentations, panels, a night market and more. 
• This creative conference will support several locally-owned venues in the Midvale Main Arts & Culture District. 
• Craft Lake City has partnered with Paper and Ink Arts as the official LetterWest material supplier. Conference-goers can order their supplies in advance and pick-up on-site or buy directly from them at their LetterWest pop-up.
• Craft Lake City’s mission is to educate, promote and uplift the local creative culture of the Utah arts community through science, technology and art.

Maria Pedone is CEO of Well Pleased Consulting, a social media strategy and operations firm helping clients like Tripadvisor, Miro, Gabrielle Bernstein, MacKenzie-Childs and more define their strategy and align their systems to support massive social media growth. Her 15+ years in digital marketing has spanned editorial, content lead, and chief of staff roles — from startup social media agencies to Fortune 500 companies like American Express and Time, Inc.

She’s successfully assisted in scaling and positioning creative agencies for acquisition; as well as coaching founders on best agency practices. Maria is a speaker and guest lecturer at educational institutions including New York University, Savannah College of Art and Design, and University of Massachusetts Amherst. When she’s not scrolling, you can find her greeting guests at her local church, volunteering in East Harlem, playing with her Boston Terrier at Carl Schurz Park, and forever hunting for the perfect chocolate chip cookie.
