Position Summary
Gleaners is looking for a Fresh Food Sourcing Manager to manage supplier relationships and help facilitate the efficient supply of fresh produce and dairy for its partner agencies. The primary goal is to maintain proper inventory levels through healthy relations on the supply side while integrating these processes efficiently into the company’s business systems. Developing sourcing strategies, negotiating and securing fresh produce and milk within budget parameters is key, along with building strong partnerships and relationships across growers, brokers, and food vendors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop sourcing strategies to procure fresh produce and milk, to maximize overall availability to meet program requirements within budget parameters.
- Cultivate relationships with growers, food manufacturers, and distributors to maximize availability of cost-effective, high-quality purchased produce, milk and other food items in line with program and agency partner needs.
- Maintain and grow vendor relationships with regular on-site visits to operations and distribution centers.
- Effective cross-functional collaboration to support targeted produce and milk inventory, and direct sourcing to ensure sufficient availability within budgetary parameters, managing across all funding sources.
- Maintain inventory levels, conservatively maximize inventory turns, and identify potential shortages or overstocking.
- Develop documentation and ongoing refinement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for produce and milk sourcing.
- Negotiate favorable pricing, while managing details and documentation related to purchased products.
- Identify key performance metrics for purchased produce and milk while regularly tracking and reporting to key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for cost reductions and remain aware of industry market prices to ensure Gleaners receive competitive pricing from suppliers.
- Ensure that purchased goods and services meet Gleaners’ quality standards, specifications, and requirements while tracking purchasing trends and supplier performance.
- Effective allocation of purchased dairy and produce to all partner agencies

Position Summary
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the VP of People & Culture is a high-impact executive role designed to be a center of excellence for the team and build “Organizational Glue” for Gleaners. This leader serves our 125-person staff, ensuring that our culture, systems, and internal communications are perfectly tuned to achieve our mission.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
People, Culture & Performance
- Lead engagement initiatives that boost morale and foster a sense of belonging for our 125+ team members across 4 campuses.
- Design and oversee a modern performance review and feedback system that prioritizes growth, compassionate candor, and clear accountability.
- Supervise the administration of comprehensive benefits and compensation packages, ensuring Gleaners is a top-tier employer in the region.
- Engineer the recruiting process to efficiently attract high quality candidates across all levels.
- Design and oversee a comprehensive onboarding experience that immerses new hires in Gleaners’ mission, culture, team, and service delivery model.
- Design and oversee a structured staff development program that provides employees with both job and management development training to strengthen their professional skills for the good of Gleaners.
- Oversee Human Resources processes to develop and execute on a technology roadmap that leverages technology to streamline these processes to improve the experience for new hires and employees.
Internal Communications, IT & Engagement
- Develop and execute an internal communication strategy that eliminates silos and ensures every employee is informed and aligned with organizational goals.
- Partner with the Executive Leadership Team to ensure a consistent, inspiring leadership voice.
- Accountable for the supervision and performance of the Information Technology team, ensuring technology systems are secure, scalable, always available with appropriate redundancy, and aligned with organizational goals.
Organizational Risk & Office Management
- Facilitate the Gleaners safety committee, including programs and compliance to protect internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain and continuously update the organization-wide Risk Assessment, including the IT Risk Assessment, with input from the SLT, and present the results to the Governance Committee of the Board of Directors annually.
- Partner with the ELT and Board of Directors on crisis continuity planning.
- Supervise office coordination to ensure the facility operates seamlessly, providing a workspace that fosters collaboration and professional pride as well as hospitable experiences for guests.
Integration & Strategy
- Act as a strategic filter for new initiatives, taking into consideration current staff capacity and budget, ensuring the team remains focused on the high-priority goals of the organization.
- Maintain and monitor Gleaners’ scorecard, tracking the high-level metrics that define success for staff, operations, and community impact.
- Provide direct support for the HR and Governance Committees of the Board of Directors.

Position Summary
This position is responsible for managing warehouse operations, order management, distribution and logistics, and volunteer coordination at the Livingston Distribution Center. The position reports directly to the Senior Director, Gleaners Livingston, who provides day-to-day supervision and leadership.
The Operations Manager works in close collaboration with the Senior Director of Operations and other Operations functional leaders to ensure that the Livingston Distribution Center activities align with Gleaners’ operational standards, food distribution systems, and the broader Gleaners food security initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day functions of distribution center to ensure achievement of food expense budget and Shared Harvest Pantry (SHP)/partner agency needs.
- Responsible for the food ordering, receiving and distribution activities of the Livingston facility.
- Lead food donor relations with assistance from Community Outreach Specialist; grow donor food donations in line with annual budget.
- Recruit, schedule, and train Livingston warehouse and SHP volunteers.
- Manage distribution center group volunteer activities.
- Responsible for both written and oral communication with team members, partner organizations and other stakeholders to work cooperatively to ensure efficient distribution of product.
- Responsible for overall site maintenance including SHP, warehouse, administrative offices, vehicles and equipment.
- Responsible for the accurate weekly summary statistics on SHP activity, inventory, turnover, and food expense vs. budget for Livingston operations.
- Ensure adherence to FA and AIB standards.
- Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, developing personal growth opportunities.
- Accomplishes staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; conducting training; enforcing policies and procedures.

Position Summary
The Coordinator of the Community Mobiles is a part-time position responsible for supporting the activities of the Community Mobiles (CM) program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate field staff on site including traffic, shift set-up, operation, and break down.
- Be able to work both Lead and Line positions as scheduling dictates.
- Assist in supervising team members, supporting consistent workflows, and ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the program.
- Support intake staff to accurately collect mobile service data.
- Record final product counts at the end of the shift for reporting.
- Act as alternate contact point for site partner questions, concerns, and support needs.
