Floors Castle today is the largest inhabited house in Scotland, and has been home to ten generations of the Duke of Roxburghe’s family. The modern estate spans some 52,000 acres, and is a varied business. Most of the land is tenanted farmland, there is an in house farming operation, forestry, windfarm, residential letting operation, as well as the house itself, Gardens, Courtyard & Terrace Café’s, Apple Shed and Castle gift shops.

From the Act of Union to the Grand Tour, American heiresses, Royal visits and prize homebred racehorses, with the outstanding Victorian Walled Garden, and the more formal Millennium Garden, coupled with a delicious lunch prepared in the Castle kitchen, there really is something for everyone.
When arriving at the Castle, a member of our visitor experience team will be on hand to welcome your tour guides, driver and visitors. We offer plenty of free parking for cars and coaches at both the Castle and Garden.
Blue Badge Guides are welcome to escort their visitors through the Castle and Garden, our team of expert guides are on hand to offer guidance, answer questions and thrill with stories of the treasures you will see.
Group Bookings 2026
Coach Drivers can enjoy complimentary admission, parking and refreshments. We take pride in creating unique visitor experiences and itineraries tailored to your group size and interests. Our group discount rates are available to groups of 15 people or more plus the opportunity to book a private tour of the Castle or Garden. All groups must be prebooked to secure special discounted rates.
Catering is available to prebook which guarantees reserved tables. Groups we recommend use the Courtyard Café next to the Castle for prebooked or counter service food and beverages, this café is larger than the Terrace Garden Café which has a table service, bistro style menu. We have lots of picnic benches and tables available. Also our gift shops sell takeaway drinks and snacks.
