Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard. The exemptions are listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
The tool on the Advice and Support page doesn't work as expected and is being looked at as a matter of urgency.
The links to the files on the Services page are an embedded google drive in an inline frame and not a table, which screen readers may not read correctly.
The colours within the inline frame on the Services page aren't controlled by the CSS of the Services page.
Again, this is a consequence of the embedded Google drive being in an Inline Frame.
The tool on the Advice and Support page doesn't work as expected and is being looked at as a matter of urgency.
The Advice and Support page and the Complaints Process accordions have text which is acting and looking like headers, which screen readers may not differentiate.
At a high zoom factor, the contrast of ACHIEVING EQUALITY is not visible.
At 400% zoom, the last letter of the email link is cut off.
The unselected page selector dot on the Success Stories section of the Home page isn't of sufficient contrast.
Navigation and accessing information
- WCAG: 1.3.5 AA: Identify Input Purpose - It will be difficult for motor impaired users to enter the same data again and again if auto suggestion is not provided.
Content that's not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
PDFs and other documents
Some of our PDFs and Word documents are essential to providing our services. For example, we provide template letters and advice aids as Word documents. Some PDF files are not accessible but wherever possible we have provided an accessible Word version.
The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they're not essential to providing our services. For example, we do not plan to fix newsletter content.
Any new PDFs or Word documents we publish will meet accessibility standards.
What we're doing to improve accessibility
We have worked hard to ensure that this website is partially compliant with AA WCAG 2.2 and achieved this in July 2024.
