Middle School Sports for the 2025-2026 School Year:  

Everett Meredith Middle School is offering the following middle school sports for the 2025-2026 school year:  

Fall:  cross country (B & G), field hockey (G), volleyball (G)

Winter:  basketball (B & G)

Spring:   track & field (B & G), volleyball (B).

Due Date for DIAAs (Fall) 9/4 (Winter) 11/3 (Spring) 3/1
 

Any athlete wishing to try out for a sport at and/or participate in any off season activities MUST be

1.  registered into Snap Manage with current DIAA Physical, AND

2.  eligible according to all DIAA regulations and ASD policies 

Snap Manage

1. You must log in to the Snap Manage account for the school in which you are registered.  For EMMS, please use  https://meredithmiddle.8to18.com/
   
   If you are a returning athlete to the school, sign in to your account.  
   
   If you are a new athlete to the school, you must create a new account for that school.  You will need to know your child’s school student ID # when registering

2. Fill in all required information. For medical alerts, please include all information a coach/athletic trainer may need to know.

3. Click begin registration.

4. Click the sport(s) for which you are registering.

5. Click your child’s name.

6. Go all the way to the last screen and hit the blue submit button..  You should get a message that says thank you for registering AND a confirmation email. If you did not get a confirmation email, you did not complete the full registration.

7. You can then go back in and upload your completed 25-29 DIAA Sports Physical.  A complete DIAA Physical Form includes all signatures from student, parent, and physician on all pages of the packet. If signatures are missing, forms are incomplete, and the student is not eligible to participate.

DIAA Physical (PPE)

Athletes are not permitted to participate in any athletic activity without a current DIAA Physical Form uploaded in Snap Manage.  No paper copies will be accepted.  Forms must be completed after April 1, 2025 to be eligible for the 2025-2026 school year.  Forms are valid from April 1, 2025 through June 30, 2025.  The DIAA Physical Form is available on the high school athletic websites and the DIAA websites.  

DIAA Regulations

Athletes must be in compliance with all DIAA regulations.  Please note that enrollment in a school does not guarantee athletic eligibility.  The following factors determine eligibility:  attendance, residence, age, amateur status, transfer status and academics.

Athletes must be in good academic standing according to ASD policies and abide by all other District and school participation guidelines.  These guidelines are shared by coaches.

Ways parents have successfully uploaded physicals:

1. "I created the pdf on my iPhone and then sent it to my email. I then used my laptop to upload the pdf file. I found the iPhone more difficult to upload than the laptop"

2. "I just scanned the document with a scanner at my work and saved it as a PDF in my desktop computer. I hit browse and uploaded it from my file but it took a lot of tries. Each time I uploaded and saved it, I would log out and log back in to make sure it was there and it wouldn’t be there. After about five or six times of trying, it finally registered that I uploaded it."

3. "I scanned using "Notes" on my iPhone and then saved to "save files" and I was able to upload from there.

Spring Sports Start March 10th, 2025

All interested athletes must be cleared on Snap Management by March 3, 2025

The EMMS Athletic Department will make every effort to check SNAP registrations, DIAA physicals, and update tryouts lists every 24 hours.

If a student has registered in SNAP and uploaded a physical by Monday, March 3 before 2:00 PM — the Physical will be checked, and the status will be updated in SNAP.  If a student is still marked as not eligible, a note has been added explaining why. (Common issues are incomplete physicals, physicals not uploaded, missing signatures, and physicals on the papers other than DIAA.)  Please amend and resubmit by March 3, 2025! 

Please check your status on SNAP every 24 hours if you need to make an amendment. 

If your student has not submitted a DIAA physical exam or has not been cleared on SNAP , they are not permitted to participate in or stay after school for tryouts.

How to register in Snap Managment:

3. To register for a 2nd or 3rd sport, go back into your account, and click on begin registration, then click the 2nd sport and click through and save it.  Repeat for a 3rd sport.

Spring 2024 DIAA Physicals Update

If your child would like to participate in a middle school spring sports, he/she will need a DIAA PPE Form (Sports Physical) https://education.delaware.gov/diaa/health_and_safety/medical_forms/ completed by their physician or qualified HCP after April 1, 2023 to be eligible.   In addition, all students who wish to try out for a spring sport must complete the SNAP Manage registration online.  

For the Spring 2024 season, DIAA physicals for students who did not play a fall or winter sport must be submitted using the SNAP Manage online system.  The deadline for submitting physicals for the Spring 2024 season is February 26, 2024.   Practices and try-outs begin on March 4, 2024.

As a reminder, a complete DIAA PPE Form includes all signatures from student, parent, and physician on all pages of the packet. If signatures are missing, forms are incomplete, and the student is not eligible to participate.

New Online Registration for Student Athletics at Everett Meredith Middle School

Everett Meredith Middle School has a new process for submitting DIAA forms and physicals. Paper forms are no longer accepted. Please upload the DIAA forms using the Snap website. Make sure to check that the signatures and dates are complete before uploading.

Before students try out for sports teams, parents MUST take these steps.

1. Create a snap account.

Register Student – you will need your student’s ID number.

Middle School Basketball Admissions

MS Basketball Admissions

• The cost of admission for all home games is $4.00.

• All tickets must be purchased in advance at GoFan, our online ticket vendor. The link to purchase tickets is posted on the athletics website at (emmscrusaders.com) and special codes, when needed, are provided by the schools.  Ticket sales will close at noon the day of the event.

• All tickets must be available for redemption at the door. No screenshots or email receipts. Spectators must be prepared to show ID if requested.

• Gates open at least twenty (20) minutes prior to the start time of the first game and close at the end of the second quarter of the second game.  If only one game is being played, the gates will open at least twenty (20) minutes prior to the start time of the game and close at the end of the second quarter.

• ASD has a no re-admittance policy, which means that once you leave the event venue, you will not be permitted to re-enter.

• Spectators may not wear full-face ski masks or gators.

• Spectators are asked to remain seated in the bleachers during the game.  No seating behind the teams.

• After the game, all spectators must exit the gymnasium.  Loitering inside and outside the event venue, including the parking lot, is prohibited and will be asked to leave.

• Any middle or elementary school aged children attending as a guest must be accompanied by an adult and remain with that adult at all times.

   

Purchasing Tickets

Students/General Population:  

• Access Code is not needed, but tickets are limited.

  • AGW games = 250, CBMS games = 250, EMMS games = 230)

• You must enter the first and last name of the persons for whom you are getting tickets.

• Students must enter the name (first and last) of the adult who will be supervising them.

• Students can buy tickets but must have supervising adult's first and last name on ticket and supervising adult has to have the ticket.

Every student athlete NEEDS a new 23-24 DIAA physical on file for this school year in order to try out for ANY High School Sport. 

If your child would like to participate in middle school sports next school year, he/she will need a 23-24 DIAA Sports Physical completed by their physician or qualified healthcare provided after April 1, 2023 to be eligible for tryouts and conditioning next school year. If signatures are missing from any page or forms are incomplete then the student is not eligible to participate. Physical forms can be found on this page.
