Version 12.5.2 build 51064
Connect to AI assistant
Connect to AI assitange. We are having fantastic success using Claude Desktop with EazyDraw, the AI assistant from Anthropic, and ask it to read, build, and change your drawings in plain language. EazyDraw stays in charge — the assistant works through the same Automation API, on your Mac only, protected by your private access token.
The EazyDraw Automation API
EazyDraw can now be driven programmatically. This release introduces a local Automation API: a lightweight web service that stays off until you turn it on, and that you protect with a private access token. Once enabled, a script on the same Mac — written in Python, a shell, or any language that can make web requests — can open and control EazyDraw drawings. It is ideal for batch production, assembling drawings from your library content, AI-assisted authoring, and connecting EazyDraw to other tools and agents.
Command-Line Drawing Conversion
Useful for AI interaction and automation. EazyDraw can now convert and export drawings from the command line, with no window open — ideal for batch production and automated build steps. Point it at one or more EazyDraw drawings and produce PDF, PNG, JPEG, TIFF, or SVG, or write the flat EazyDraw JSON layout that external programs and AI agents read easily. .
EazyDraw download is a 177.5 meg, runs on macOS Tahoe.
The download is a disk image file (dmg), its size is 177.5 Meg.

12.5.2 June 8, 2026 build 51063

EazyDraw 12.5.2 builds out the Automation API so an AI assistant or script can now create and arrange drawing content, not only read and fill it. New in this release: drawing shapes, naming and removing graphics, and setting fill and line colors — all through the same private Automation API that runs only on your own Mac.

An assistant can now add shapes to a drawing directly — straight lines, rectangles and rounded rectangles, ovals, polygons, multi-segment lines, and arcs and pie wedges — each placed and sized exactly where you ask. Every one is a real, editable EazyDraw shape, ready to restyle, move, or group just like a shape you draw by hand.

Every graphic you create now receives a clear, automatic name, so an assistant can find it again, change it, and describe it back to you in plain language. You can rename anything to something meaningful, and remove a graphic you no longer want. Names stay unique within a drawing — even after you copy or duplicate — so there is never any doubt about which shape is which.

Give any shape a solid fill along with a line color and width through the API, and read its current colors back at any time. It is the first step toward a fuller set of color and fill controls in the releases ahead.
