EazyDraw Automation API
EazyDraw can now be driven programmatically. EazyDraw 12.5.0 release introduces a local Automation API: a lightweight web service that stays off until you turn it on, and that you protect with a private access token. Once enabled, a script on the same Mac — written in Python, a shell, or any language that can make web requests — can open and control EazyDraw drawings. It is ideal for batch production, assembling drawings from your library content, AI-assisted authoring, and connecting EazyDraw to other tools and agents.
The service runs only on your own machine, requires the access token on every request, and respects the locks you have set — so automated edits follow the same protections as the editor, and every change is undoable just like a hand edit. Full details are in the EazyDraw API documentation.
Through the API you can:
• Open and close drawings and libraries.
• Read a drawing’s complete structure and state — layers, graphics, groups, document properties, page setup, and scale.
• Place elements from your libraries, then position and resize them precisely.
• Apply a saved look — fill color, line color and style, gradients, vector hatch, dashes, and arrows.
• Put attributes onto any graphic, exactly as if you had dragged the swatch onto it.
• Set document properties such as title, author, and keywords.
• Export a whole drawing, a layer, or a single graphic to SVG, PDF, PNG, or JPEG.
