Enabling scientists and clinicians to advance their diabetes research projects by learning specific techniques or clinical skills at other institutions.

EFSD and Sanofi European Diabetes Research Programme on Autoimmunity in Type 1 Diabetes
Encouraging new projects aimed at advancing current knowledge of any aspect of autoimmunity in type 1 diabetes.

EFSD & Japan Diabetes Society Reciprocal Travel Research Fellowship Programme
Encouraging collaborative research for scientists or clinicians working in a postdoctoral position in the field of diabetes.

Publish your research in Diabetologia and Metabologia
EASD has two journals, Diabetologia, which publishes articles on all aspects of diabetes, from basic science through translational work to clinical research, and the newly launched Metabologia, an open access journal for research across the fields of diabetes, obesity, metabolism and related disorders. Both offer a platform for original studies, clinical trials, reviews, and interdisciplinary work that inform scientific understanding and clinical practice.
