 Dhyan Management System (DMS), the core technology that powers all our products, is a set of mature, secure and scalable components that have been continuously refined to monitor, manage, and control devices. DMS is very versatile, and can handle next generation devices in the 5G and IoT ecosystem.

Overview

DMS technology powers Dhyan’s Telecom/Networking and IoT products. DMS has been designed from the ground up with scalability in mind and is currently being used to manage millions of devices. Its intuitive User Interface is extremely user-friendly and any report can be accessed within 2 or 3 clicks. The DMS modular approach allows the development of a minimal management solution for a new product which can be achieved quickly with low upfront investment. Additional functions and features can be added later, spreading out the overall investment. DMS is based on Java and J2EE technology. It can run on many different operating systems and is JDBC-compliant with support for databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL and Derby.

DMS natively supports management of various classes of device such as smart meters with DNP3 and 61850, IoT devices using CoAP, and RAN devices using O-RAN. Since these technology stacks are already built-in, they make integration of new devices rapid and less labor intensive.

Scalability

DMS was designed with scalability in mind. The application has been designed and refined over many years using components without any performance-draining object code.

The number of devices being managed tends to grow over time, and customers buying a device management solution today need to know that it will scale to meet tomorrow’s requirements. Dhyan’s DMS clustered deployment configuration provides it with virtually unlimited scalability since an additional server can always be added to manage the increased workload. This option ensures you are ready for the future without having to reinvent your management system from scratch. DMS also supports clustered deployments to support high availability and load balancing, as well as scalability.

Usability

DMS’s elegant and unique user interface has been designed to allow access to typical data or reports in two or three clicks, and can be easily customized. However, the primary user interface and menus are based on the immediate needs of network operators and administrators.

DMS’s user interface is context-sensitive. Information that a user looks for is automatically filtered based on the tree and tab selection. Every screen shows the exact path taken to reach that specific screen. In addition, all DMS menus are context-sensitive, making it easier for users to trigger or launch specific actions when required.
