Through the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids program, the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption supports the hiring of adoption professionals who work tirelessly to find permanent families for the longest-waiting children in foster care. Show these professionals how much you appreciate their work by organizing a card-writing activity or sending a digital note of thanks.

Children in foster care frequently move from home to home with nothing but a small bag in which to carry their belongings. As a result, they often lack the necessary hygiene items to care for themselves. Work with the Foundation to donate items and pack Care Kits for children in foster care.

Events, such as in-store giveback campaigns, charity golf tournaments and virtual and in-person races, occur year-round to elevate the conversation about the urgent need for foster care adoption in our communities and fund the Foundation’s work to be a part of the solution.

Efforts to raise money for our important work is critical to sustain our work and advance our mission. We offer a variety of ways to give to the Foundation, including hosting birthday fundraisers on Facebook, and planning other events.

We are proud to collaborate with a growing number of organizations that have named the Foundation as their charity of choice. These companies have established a multi-year commitment to raise awareness of our mission within their network and give generously, such as through a percentage or point of sale programs, to advance our work.
