Dr. Scott Weiss
Dr. Scott Weiss is a licensed physical therapist and board-certified athletic trainer based in New York City. He is also a registered exercise physiologist and strength and conditioning coach with over thirty years of experience. Scott has earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in exercise physiology and a doctorate in physical therapy and medical qigong.
Scott’s interest in boxing was triggered by his great-uncle Sammy who was a prizefighter in New York City during the early 1900’s and his father’s career of 45 years with NBC sports. Scott has boxed as an amateur featherweight in tournaments throughout New York’s five boroughs, most prominently Madison Square Gardens Felt Forum. Scott has also competed at several martial arts tournaments in the tri-state area, winning first place in both forms and fighting. He is a licensed cut man in New York, New Jersey and Las Vegas and has a deep interest in the longevity and health of boxers and MMA fighters.
Scott is a martial arts practitioner and instructor holding a black belt in both Tang Soo Do and Daito Ryu Aiki jujutsu. Presently, he practices Lohan Qiqong and provides private instruction as well. Dr. Weiss is an avid rock climber and when he is not on the rocks, you can find him doing gymnastics, yoga, boxing, or some other type of bodywork outdoors. His deeply rooted interest in the study of human movement makes him a fan of all sports and body expression.
Dr. Weiss has traveled the globe with USA Sports Medicine for over 25 years. He was blessed to be chosen as part of the USA Sports Medicine team in the 2004 Athens Olympics, the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, and the 2012 Olympics in London. He has also helped prepare Paralympians for both the Sochi and Tokyo Games. Dr. Weiss has taught tactical and combat training to the United States Department of Defense and the United States Secret Service. He has trained elite athletes at the NCAA, Olympic, and Professional levels, as well as top-performing individuals competing at the highest levels of international sport. Scott has helped Olympians, Paralympians, and athletes such as Michael Phelps, Kerry Strugg, and Brandy Chastain reach peak performance.
Dr. Weiss is presently the owner and the clinical director of Bodhizone for Human Performance & Sports Physical Therapy, located in the heart of midtown Manhattan right across from Radio City Music Hall. Scott believes in a holistic approach to physical rehabilitation & sports performance because “You don’t have to be an Olympian to be treated like one.”
Scott’s emphasis on research and area of expertise is in physical therapy and rehabilitation of the knee, shoulder, hip, and lumbar spine. His clinical expertise has been featured in medical journals, magazines, the web and on nationally syndicated TV.

Paige Stover (Late)
Paige Stover is the owner of a group of communications companies in Boston. She has been a writer and publisher of legal, financial, and business content throughout her professional career.
She has received ten national book awards—either as publisher or author—including her first boxing book, originally published as From the Corners of the Ring to the Corners of the Earth (CIVCOM 2010) which was awarded the gold medal in the sports category by the Independent Book Publishers in 2010. She has also been recognized for her publications in equestrian sports, wheelchair basketball, and fencing.
Paige is a graduate of Duke University and the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University. In addition to her writing career, she helps subject-matter experts create, protect, and leverage intellectual property assets in order to become celebrities in targeted niche markets.
